This running summer clinic is for athletes looking to improve their long distance running performance and endurance. Campers will acquire a variety of skills learned through competitive drills to improve their running techniques. Clinic will be led by Girls Varsity Cross Country Coach Farroni and Boys Cross Country Coach Lariccia.
Christopher Farroni began his coaching tenure at Hawken School in 1999 and was named head coach for track & field in 2005. Coach Farroni has coached track and field and cross country in several area schools, was a three-year letter winner in cross country at the University of Dayton, and is currently a registered cross country and track & field official. Farroni has level 1 and level 2 certifications from USA Track & Field: his level 2 certification focused on the developmental needs of the youth and high school athlete. He is currently the head coach of Girls Cross Country, and Boys and Girls Track & Field.
Coach Lariccia graduated from Mercyhurst University with a degree in World Languages and Cultures and received her Masters of Education from Ashland University. She has been the assistant track coach at Hawken for the past three seasons. She has specialized in coaching the distance team. For two seasons she was the head boys and girls cross country coach at Andrews Osborne Academy.
