    Have you ever dreamed of becoming a cartoon animator? This camp will show you how to design your own characters and provide you with the skills to bring them to life! During the week, campers will learn a variety of techniques including character design, Photoshop animation basics, and GIF file creation taught in age-appropriate ways. Every camper will leave with their own Google web page showcasing all the weeks’ animations.
  • Minecraft

    Ages 7 – 12

    Come enjoy a week exploring the virtual world of Minecraft. Daily adventures await every morning when campers enter pre-constructed worlds to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, and build virtual communities. Children will be able to exercise their creative muscles in the Minecraft camp’s very own Minecraft server. While set in “creative mode,” campers will be able to utilize unlimited resources to build whatever they can imagine and then explore each other’s creations. Hawken camp will supply laptops and mice, and a Hawken IT staff member will be available to assist children with computer skills as well as Minecraft gameplay.
  • YouTube Stars Camp: Skits, Vlogs, and DIY Fun

    Get ready to create and shine like a YouTube star! Campers will dive into the world of digital content creation, learning to produce exciting skits, engaging vlogs, and fun DIY videos. From brainstorming ideas and storyboarding to filming and editing, this camp covers it all. Perfect for kids who want to build confidence, express creativity, and share their unique voices!
  • Lights, Camera, Action: iPad Films

    Ages 9 – 14

    Session 2: August 4 –  August 8

    Use your imagination, creativity, and love of technology in a study of filmmaking basics. Using iPads, campers will learn how to write scripts, plan and sketch storyboards, film scenes, and edit their own short films. Campers will have the opportunity to make stop-action films, music videos, and feature films as well. In a fun culmination, we will host a film festival where all films will be screened! Take a walk down the “red carpet” as we celebrate your cinematic masterpieces at a special screening at the end of the week.
