Ever wanted to learn how to be funny? In this camp, students will learn not only the basics of several different forms of comedy but also the science behind making people laugh. Students will be introduced to short-form improvisational comedy in the vein of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and use the skills they learn in storytelling, character development, and scene-building to write different forms of comedy, such as sketch or stand-up. Besides learning how to make people laugh, this camp is also a crash-course in teamwork skills, confidence-building, communication skills, and creative thinking. This one-week camp will culminate in a comedy show in which students will show off their new skills and original work.
