SENIOR COUNSELORS AND INSTRUCTORS
Hawken Summer Programs employs Hawken faculty and staff, along with qualified, certified, and experienced instructors, coaches, and teachers from outside sources as senior counselors. Junior counselors are Hawken students who are selected through an interview process and complete Hawken Summer Camp training. Their role is to assist instructors, coaches, and senior counselors in delivering the Hawken experience to our campers.
NATIONAL HOLIDAYS
There will be no camp on Thursday, June 19 or Friday, July 4 due to national holidays. The cost for these four-day weeks has been adjusted.
Please note that Hawken Day Camps will dismiss campers at 12:00pm on the last day of camp (Friday, July 25, 2025).
LUNCH
Lunch is included in the registration fees for Hawken Day Camps. SAGE, Hawken's food service provider, offers a hot main dish with vegetarian options, along with a sandwich option each day. The menu will be shared in your Thursday email before your camp week. Campers who prefer not to eat the provided options are welcome to pack their own lunch but are reminded not to bring items containing nuts.
Please note that Passport Camps and half-day programs do not include lunch.
POTTY TRAINING POLICY
For the safety and well-being of all campers, we require that children attending our summer camp programs be fully potty trained. This means that campers should be able to use the restroom independently, including wiping and washing their hands, without the need for assistance from camp staff.
If your child is not yet fully potty trained, we recommend that you consider enrolling them in our Summer Toddler Program. If you have any concerns or questions about whether your child is ready for camp, please feel free to reach out to us for guidance.
ALLERGIES AND MEDICATION
At your time of registration, please download, complete and submit all necessary medical forms (allergy plans, medication forms, asthma action plans, etc.) to the School Nurse prior to the start of camp.
