    During this week, children will enjoy a variety of stories and participate in correlating activities. There will be opportunities for crafts, creations, scavenger hunts, games, and of course, the strengthening of literacy skills.
  • The Caldecott: Exploring Children’s Book Illustrators

    Ages: 5 – 10
    Session I: June 15 – June 19

    Do you enjoy getting to know favorite picture book authors and illustrators while creatively exploring their unique styles? During the week, we will study favorites such as Eric Carle, Todd Parr, Louis Ehlert, Tana Hoban, and Barbara Benson Keith while creating our own stories that emulate these artists. We will use a variety of art media including photography, vibrant markers, painting, and mosaics. Each camper will compose and illustrate unique stories using found natural objects, painted collage pieces, mosaic shapes, photographic images, and original drawings. The week will be about the process of thinking like an author and illustrator as well as artistic expression and creativity.

    Welcome to the zany, thought-provoking, and adventurous world of Dr. Seuss. Each day we will read and explore different Dr. Seuss books. We will create hands-on projects, investigate through STEM activities, write our own wacky stories, make Dr. Seuss inspired food, and learn some important lifelong lessons along the way. Join us for fun, creativity, and inspiration as we explore the wonderful and wacky world of Dr. Seuss!
  • Story Book Stones!

    It's time to bring story books to life with a stone! Yep, you heard that right- a stone! Each day we will enter into a new story together, learning about the characters and enjoying the beautiful illustrations! Once reading is over it is time to get crafty! For each story we read, we will be making a story book stone, which we’ll collect as a keepsake of the stories we will read together during the week! The stones we create will tell the story of the books we read! At the end of the week, escape into your own world and create a story to share by ONLY using the stones to tell it! I can't wait to see the creativity flow and bring storybooks to life with all of you!
  • Star Wars Paper Characters

    Campers will create multiple Star Wars paper characters by learning multiple paper folding and sculpture techniques, turning ordinary pieces of paper into some of their favorite characters. Campers will end the week with multiple sculptures they can display and frame.

If you said yes, then you’re ready for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Leave the muggle world behind and immerse yourself in the magical world of Harry Potter. Compete in daily challenges, house games, and scavenger hunts; participate in magical classes; design and craft your own wand; and make sweets from the trolley. Join us on this journey to hone your wizarding skills and ultimately defeat He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named!

    Escape rooms are all the rage around the world, popular because of their themes and challenging puzzles. Spend the week learning how escape rooms are run, what makes the experience memorable, what goes into designing challenging puzzles, and more. You will even create puzzles of your own for others to test. If you enjoy escape rooms, or just creating and solving puzzles, then this camp is for you!

    Do you like adventure and fancy yourself a thrill seeker? Our camp is perfect for new adventurers who are looking to learn or play D&D in a series of short adventures throughout the week-long camp. During the camp, you’ll be able to problem-solve your way through different short D&D campaigns. You’ll use your creativity to craft your character and adventure through other worlds. This exciting role-playing camp truly brings the game to life. Space is limited!
